Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Alex Wen, Interim Artistic Director, will be conducting the JHO through a Journey to America. We explore the legacy of composer Antonín Dvořák’s legacy in establishing the National Conservatory of Music of America and trace his lasting legacy and lineage. Come experience the music of Aaron Copland, Duke Ellington, Harry T. Burleigh, and Dvořák’s Eighth Symphony. Soprano Claire Myers-McCormick joins us in bringing to life the lyrical spirituals of Burleigh and the selections from the illustrious Biblical Songs by Dvořák.
